Time for Big Law to Face Questions on the Post Office Scandal
There are three players in this sorry debacle that help maintain the reputation of the legal industry—none of them is a large international law firm.

Legal Ethics and Attorney DisciplineMost of the country has taken a sudden interest in the Post Office scandal this month even though there is not much about it that is new. The scandal reaches as far back as the mid-90s. Then, after years of fighting, in 2019 a High Court ruling identified glitches in the Horizon IT system, while a public inquiry began in 2020 and many of the sub-postmasters had their criminal convictions overturned in 2021.
