The U.K. legal services sector contributed £34 billion to the national economy in 2022—1.6% of total U.K. gross value added, according to a report by TheCityUK, a professional services body.

Despite economic challenges caused by inflation and high interest rates, the U.K.’s top 100 firms grew 8% to a total £33.77 billion this year, while the top 10 firms recorded an £18.3 billion collective turnover, the report added.
