In the aftermath of last week's brutal attacks on Israel by Hamas militants, it became clear that global law firms do not operate in a bubble. They must demonstrate that they hold a set of values and stand for something beyond revenue and profits. It's what the German philosopher Immanuel Kant called "following a moral imperative.” Today we call it “doing the right thing.”
