There’s a huge disconnect about expectations for turnaround of contracts by corporate legal departments across Latin America, which leads to tensions between business areas, according to a recent survey.

Legal operations consultancy ODDS Legal recently interviewed 72 in-house counsel based in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and also Spain who work in industries such as consumer goods, finance and technology to gauge their thoughts on contracts—a function that occupies much of the counsels’ working hours.
