Axiom Ince, the buyers of U.K. law firms Ince and Plexus Law, has called in accounting firm BDO to conduct an internal investigation following the suspension of three of its leaders for alleged financial mismanagement, as the firm works to secure jobs amid client concerns.

The decision follows the news last week that the SRA had decided to close the practices of the three lawyers in question, according to decision published by the regulator. Managing partner Pragnesh Modhwadia, head of personal injury and medical negligence Shyam Mistry, and head of commercial, investment and residential property Idnan Liaqat were all subsequently suspended from practice, a spokesperson of the firm confirmed.
