The number of cyberattacks in Canada and worldwide have continued to grow, with ransomware attacks making up almost 70% of incidents, according to a new report from law firm Blake, Cassels & Graydon.

Two-thirds of organizations targeted in ransomware attacks this year paid a ransom, up from 56% last year, with the median ransom up 170%, to CA$546,000, over the last two years, the report said.
