Baker McKenzie has appointed Tracy Wut, a Hong Kong-based partner and head of the firm’s mergers and acquisitions practice in Asia, as its new Greater China managing partner for a three-year term starting from July 1. 

Wut, who will succeed tax partner Steven Sieker, will also continue to head the firm’s M&A practice in the region. Sieker will be moving on to become the firm’s chief executive, overseeing its offices and businesses in Mainland China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar. In Asia, Baker also has presence in Manila and Taipei.
