Davis Polk & Wardwell, together with Big Four Japanese law firms Mori Hamada & Matsumoto and Anderson Mori & Tomotsune, are advising on government-backed fund Japan Investment Corporation’s (JIC) acquisition of semiconductor materials maker JSR Corp for approximately $6.4 billion, according to a statement by JSR Corp.  

JIC has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary JIC Capital (JICC) will seek to acquire shares of JSR Corp through a tender offer for over 207 million shares at the price of approximately $30 per share by JICC-02, Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of JICC.
