Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is set to provide pro bono legal advice to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine as it seeks to draw funds to rebuild amid its war effort.

By way of a new memorandum of understanding (MoU), the firm will guide the Ministry in establishing a development fund, which draws on advisory support from BlackRock Financial Markets Advisory, and aims to attract public and private sector investment to finance the country’s post-war development efforts across sectors including infrastructure, energy and agriculture, among others.
