Singapore’s judiciary has widened its international engagement by establishing formal ties with its counterparts in France and Bahrain for bilateral judicial cooperation.

The Supreme Court of Singapore and the Supreme Judicial Council of Bahrain have officially launched a project to collaborate on the establishment of the Bahrain International Commercial Court (BICC). This comes six months after Bahrain’s Chief Justice Khaled bin Ali visited the Supreme Court of Singapore to discuss collaboration on setting up the BICC, and the subsequent establishment of working groups led by President of the Singapore International Commercial Court (SICC) Justice Philip Jeyaretnam, and Chief Justice Khaled bin Ali.
