Lawyers are rallying to support the president of the Mexican Supreme Court, who along with the judiciary as a whole, has in recent days come under repeated attack by Mexico President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

López Obrador has called for a cleansing of the judicial system, accusing it of being full of corrupt judges. The accusations come as the Supreme Court is considering whether to block a proposal by the president to overhaul the country’s electoral system.
