In tune with its strategic initiative to grow its intellectual property services and move into new locations in its region, Western Canada regional law firm Field Law has acquired IP group Hicks Intellectual Property.

The IP firm was started by lawyer and IP agent Christine Hicks and IP agent Andrew Hicks, who have built up an international practice from their home base in the small Rocky Mountain town of Canmore, Alberta, said Jeremiah Kowalchuk, managing partner of Field Law.
