Greenberg Traurig’s Mexico City office has secured political asylum in Mexico for 70 Afghan nationals, including members of the National Afghanistan Women’s Flag Football team, who are no longer allowed to play sports in their home country.
The team reached out to ALDEA People’s Justice Center earlier in 2022 for help securing visas to attend a tournament hosted in Mexico by the International Women’s Flag Football Association. ALDEA, in turn, sought assistance from Greenberg Traurig.
