I was enjoying my maternity leave with my second son and had just been promoted to the partnership at Trowers & Hamlins. However, when he was 8 months old, I found a large lump in my breast whilst breastfeeding.

Initially I put it down to being connected to breastfeeding. But when it did not go away, I went to see the GP. I was initially told that as I was breastfeeding, it was policy that I had to take antibiotics for 10 days before I could get a referral to the breast clinic. I went back after a few days and finally got a referral. I was told on both visits it would not be cancer.
