Squire Patton Boggs has added a four-lawyer, partner-led team in Europe to its data privacy, cybersecurity and digital assets practice group, bolstering its presence in Brussels as it builds out its global team in a growing practice area where the rules are changing at a fast clip.

Charles-Albert Helleputte joins as a partner from Steptoe & Johnson, where he was head of the EU cybersecurity, data, and privacy practice, based in Brussels. Prior to joining Steptoe in 2020, he held a similar position at Mayer Brown in Brussels, where he practiced for 13 years as a partner.
