Rarely do we have a week in the legal sector in which every strand of the human condition, in all its various shapes and colours, is not arrayed for our reading pleasure. With stories of heroism, of skullduggery and champagne-popping, this week typified the breadth of our coverage, and of our varied and often contrasting legal sector.

The Good

Our editor-in-chief, Paul Hodkinson, reported on that rarest of rare beasts: a commercial City partner fighting for victims of sexual assault perpetrated by powerful men. Paul spoke with Jill Greenfield, a partner at Fieldfisher who, galvanised by childhood experiences marked by the murders of women she knew, decided to pursue cases on behalf of victims against some of the most notorious predators of modern times, including Harvey Weinstein and the late Jeffrey Epstein.
