What a week in U.K. politics. After Conservative party MPs lined up to decry the train and tube strikes last month, many somewhat ironically found that the most effective way to get what they wanted was to withdraw their support for their embattled boss, Prime Minister Boris Johnson, leading (eventually) to his resignation.

The entire sorry debaclestill ongoing, as Johnson intends to try and stay as a ‘caretaker’ until the Autumnhas given the legal industry much to chew over. Some partners Varsha Patel and I spoke to were quick to slam Johnson as “shameless”, “untrustworthy” and having undermined trust in the legal profession, no doubt celebrating when Johnson finally took to the Number 10 lectern in Downing Street on Thursday.
