Five international law firms have advised the UAE government and publicly listed entities on a $1.9 billion renewables transaction in Abu Dhabi.

Allen & Overy advised state diversification catalyst Mubadala on the sale of stakes in Abu Dhabi Future Energy Co. (Masdar) to Abu Dhabi National Energy Co. (Taqa) and Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC); Shearman & Sterling advised ADNOC; Clifford Chance advised Abu Dhabi energy concern, Taqa; and White & Case acted as counsel to the same company on antitrust matters. Freshfields advised Mubadala on antitrust matters.
