The Law Society of Ontario says a number of individuals who “may be involved in the cheating scenario” around compromised online bar exams have now been told they will be subject to formal investigations.

External investigators, hired by the regulator in Canada’s largest province, issued letters this week to those facing investigation. The law society outsourced the probe into cheating on its licensing exam, which caused the last-minute cancellation of the online sitting for the barrister and solicitor exams last month.
