Clifford Chance is acting for the special administrators as the U.K. arm of Russian banking behemoth Sberbank faces collapse.

One of the largest Russian state institutes, Sberbank is one of several state-run institutions to have been sanctioned by the West in the fallout to the war in Ukraine. Though its U.K. arm, Sberbank CIB (UK), has not itself been specifically sanctioned, the effect of the sanctions have left it unable to operate in its current form.
