Five partners from firms including Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Allen & Overy and Herbert Smith Freehills have been appointed in a cohort of 101 new Queens Counsel in this year’s silk round.
Solicitor advocates making the cut included Freshfields partner Sylvia Noury, a disputes, litigation and arbitration partner who has been with the firm for 23 years. Noury said she was “deeply honoured” by the appointment and thanked her family and “mentors and colleagues at Freshfields… without which I would not have climbed this particular summit”.
