HSF Takes Latest Capital Markets Mandate With EasyJet £1.2B Rights Issue Role

Herbert Smith Freehills and Allen & Overy have picked up roles on a rights issue for airline EasyJet worth £1.2 billion in what is the largest U.K. capital raising of 2021 so far.

The U.K.-headquartered airline is building funds to increase the resilience of its balance sheet and to fund strategic investments as air travel recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a statement from HSF.
