Davis Polk & Wardwell will require lawyers to return to the office at least seven out of every 10 business days beginning in September, as part of a trial period of in-office guidelines this year, according to a firm memo obtained by Law.com. The trial period will also give attorneys one remote week of their choosing after they return to the office.

Firm chairman and managing partner Neil Barr wrote in a memo on Monday that Davis Polk “will generally expect 3 or 4 days in the office each week” from attorneys, starting Sept. 13, with “at least” seven of every 10 business days spent working in-person. This is also subject to client and team needs, he said.
