Former Slaughter and May partner Nigel Boardman will lead the independent review into former U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron’s relationship with collapsed finance company Greensill Finance, according to one person with knowledge of the situation.
It is a high profile role for the veteran M&A adviser, who stepped down from the Slaughter and May partnership in 2019. Other roles he has held include being appointed as a non-executive director at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, providing assistance in developing the government’s industrial strategy, in 2018.
