Dilhan Pillay Sandrasegara, formerly the managing partner of WongPartnership, will succeed Ho Ching, wife of Singapore prime minister Lee Hsien Loong, as chief executive officer and executive director of Singapore’s sovereign investment holdings company Temasek.

Sandrasegara, who will assume the role in October, is currently the CEO of Temasek International, the investment arm of the state-owned fund. His new role gives him control over Temasek Holding’s investment portfolio of over $230 billion, which includes shareholdings in Standard Chartered Bank, China Construction Bank, Alibaba, Blackrock Inc. and Singapore’s flagship telecommunications company, Singtel.
