Several senior lawyers across the U.K. have expressed opposition to the government’s decision to impose a second national lockdown in England, according to new research.

A survey conducted by International canvassed the opinions of 73 senior lawyers based in top law firms and companies across England. The results, which included the opinions of 65 partners at U.K. top 100 law firms, show that many senior lawyers are opposed to the second lockdown, with several pointing to the lockdown’s economic impact as well as its effect on mental health.
