A line-up of elite European and U.S. law firms have landed roles as the London Stock Exchange offloads its entire shareholding in Italy’s stock exchange, Borsa Italia, to a rival.

Firms including Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance, BonelliErede, and Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners are involved in the €4.3 billion sale to Europe’s biggest stock exchange, Euronext.
