Debevoise, Cleary Gottlieb Guide Verizon’s $6.25B Purchase of TracFone Wireless

Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton and Debevoise & Plimpton are guiding the $6.25 billion sale of prepaid phone carrier TracFone Wireless to Verizon Communications.

TracFone, owned by Mexican communications multinational América Móvil, serves approximately 21 million subscribers in what is known as the value segment, with pay-as-you-go phones available through a network of over 90,000 retail locations nationwide.
