U.K. general counsel have criticised suggestions that in-house lawyers require different regulation to those in private practice.
A June report titled ‘Reforming Legal Services – Reform Beyond The Echo Chambers’ by Professor Stephen Mayson called for increased regulation and clearer guidelines so that in-house teams can maintain independence within the wider business environment.
