Kirkland & Ellis has snatched a rising star from Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, M&A partner Edward Lee, in another sign of Kirkland’s ambitions to compete against top New York firms for both talent and market share.
The move also marks a rare lateral exit at Wachtell, a top M&A powerhouse. Kirkland announced Lee’s hiring Tuesday afternoon as a partner.
