Large domestic and global law firms in South Africa and elsewhere on the African continent are counseling clients on how to survive the COVID-19 crisis while trying to mitigate their own risks as governments impose lockdowns to fight the spread of the coronavirus.

The African continent has so far seen more than 10,000 reported cases of the coronavirus and more than 500 deaths, according to the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention. And the situation is expected to get worse, as Africa has not yet flattened the curve.
