King & Wood Mallesons has recruited a Morrison & Foerster corporate partner in Singapore as the firm further develops its M&A practice in Southeast Asia.
Jake Robson advises on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, regulatory matters and equity capital market deals in South and Southeast Asia. He also has a particular focus in the financial institutions and fintech sectors. In 2018, he co-led a Morrison & Foerster team with Singapore partner Shirin Tang advising Japanese tobacco company JT Group on a $1.5 billion acquisition of Bangladesh-based Akij Group, one of the largest M&As ever in the country.
