Debevoise & Plimpton has opened a Tokyo office with a three-lawyer team from its New York operation.
The office – its third in Asia after Hong Kong and Shanghai – will be co-led by corporate partner Christopher Smeall and counsel Naomi Aoyama, who have both relocated from New York.
