Allen & Overy (A&O), Fenwick & West and Debevoise & Plimpton are among the firms advising as US computer games company Activision Blizzard agrees to pay $5.9bn (£3.8bn) to acquire King Digital Entertainment, the Dublin-headquartered group behind the popular Candy Crush Saga mobile game.

It is the biggest deal in the video games sector since Microsoft bought Minecraft maker Mojang for $2.5bn (£1.6bn) last year, which saw roles for Linklaters and Sweden’s Mannheimer Swartling for Microsoft and Mojang respectively.
