Ince & Co has asked its own lawyers to suggest possible merger partners, Legal Week understands, but the firm insists it has not approached any rivals about a combination.
One of Ince’s management team is believed to have emailed partners around two months ago asking for suggestions for potential merger partners, in the wake of a difficult few years at the shipping and insurance firm.
