Transport for London (TfL) has promoted Andrea Clarke to the post of legal director, succeeding Gareth John, who joined facilities management company Sodexo in January. Clarke, who took up the role in March, was previously manager of TfL's commercial law team, having joined London Regional Transport - which became TfL in 2000 - in 1996.Her new role will see her head up the 30-strong legal team which principally handles commercial and infrastructure projects and employment and property matters. Clarke will report to general counsel Howard Carter.
