Watson Burton has launched a redundancy consultation that could claim as many as 25% of its staff, it was announced today (23 March). The firm is currently in consultation with 75 staff including partners, fee earners and support staff across its offices in Newcastle, Leeds and London.The level of jobs under threat at the firm, which employs a total of 272 staff, are among the deepest cuts yet considered at a UK law firm in response to the recession.
