Olswang has kicked off a redundancy consultation which could see around 49 members of staff lose their jobs.The review, which was announced earlier today, is likely to see the firm reduce its headcount in the UK by 8%, with salaried partners, fee earners, non-fee earners all part of the consultation process. The firm currently employs 682 staff, of which are 242 are lawyers, and has 104 partners and has UK offices in London and the Thames Valley.Olswang's trainee numbers and plans for newly qualified recruitment will not be affected by the review, which is expected to close by the end of March.
