The Diary has to admit that, during these turbulent times, sometimes it gets a little confused by all the rather hectic goings-on in the financial world. With things moving so quickly, it is often quite hard to keep track of which bank owns which, which is the latest country to launch a bumper bailout package, and quite how many retailers have been totally screwed by Iceland's financial implosion. So, in times like these, it's more than useful to have a friendly banking lawyer on speed-dial who can explain things in words of as few syllables as possible.
