French law firm Fidal has appointed a new chairman and more than doubled the size of its management board. Jean Gousset formally takes up a new role as the firm's chairman and head of its new-look directorate from 21 October. He replaces Jean-Louis Paul, who has retired from Fidal as chairman. Both Gousset, who began his career with Fidal in 1969, and Paul previously sat on the firm's two-partner managing directorate, which has been extended to five members.
