Telecommunications company Reliance Globalcom has overhauled the legal function for its data business, following the acquisition of UK-based Vanco Group. The company has appointed Craig Duncan as general counsel for the EMEA region, with Mark Horner taking up an equivalent role in the US. Vanco's global legal head, Steve Dyde, has taken up a similar position at Reliance's data arm and the company is also recruiting for a legal head for its Asia Pacific division. The moves come as Reliance Globalcom consolidates its legal function after purchasing Vanco, US company Yipes and specialist cable firm Flag Telecom. Duncan was previously a lawyer with Vanco, while Horner worked in the legal department of Yipes before its purchase and rebranding.Following the acquisitions parent company Reliance Communications, which is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange, now has more than 33,000 employees worldwide
