US firm Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker’s project finance practice has been buoyed after picking up $6bn (£2.9bn) worth of mandates from the governments of Slovakia and Croatia.

The five projects all relate to motorways in Eastern Europe. On the largest venture the firm is advising the Slovakian Government on the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of the Visnove to Ivachnova motorway public-private partnership (PPP), valued at $2.6bn (£1.3bn).
