Eversheds is facing its second negligence claim to emerge in the space of 48 hours, after the national firm was sued for £850,000 by two former clients.

The latest claim centres around legal advice given by the national giant to two business tycoons – Michael Scarlett and Richard Smith. The pair claim Eversheds played down the likelihood of Parcel Force parent company Consignia suing them due to the similarity of the name of their own distribution company, Pallet Force.
