Taylor Wessing dispute resolution partner Jerome Henry has been appointed chairman of the International Rugby Board's (IRB's) dispute committee. Senior Paris-based lawyer Henry is charged with ruling on issues surrounding breaches of regulation relating to the 2007 Rugby World Cup, excluding disputes arising from the rules of the game itself. Clifford Chance is the official law firm to the tournament, advising the IRB on the preparation and staging of the tournament, which kicked off last Friday.
