The Law Society is gearing up for a rare leadership showdown, Legal Week has learned, as future president Paul Marsh finds his position under threat in this summer’s council elections.

Marsh, who was installed as Chancery Lane’s deputy vice president last year, will square up against rival candidate Anthony Bogan for a seat representing solicitors in Surrey on the decision-making council.
