Allen & Overy (A&O) has made up 32 new partners in its latest partnership round – just one less than last year’s record of 33 – as the magic circle firm also announces the first lawyers promoted to its newly-created ‘counsel’ role.
Almost two-thirds (63%) of the partner promotions come outside London, where the firm made up 13 new partners. There are 10 promotions in continental Europe, five in New York, three in Asia and one in Dubai.
