Norton Rose client appoints ex-Freshfields lawyer

Norton Rose has been put on tenterhooks with the news that its client Electrocomponents has appointed Viacom Outdoor international legal director Ian Haslegrave, an ex-Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer lawyer, to the new role of general counsel and company secretary.

Haslegrave will join the FTSE 250 industrial parts distributor in late September, reporting to finance director Simon Boddie. He will also have responsibility for the company’s pension scheme.
