KPMG Forensic has strengthened its UK e-discovery portfolio by signing a deal with technology company Aungate. The global accounting and consulting group claims to be the first in the UK to offer the Autonomy IDOL (Intelligent Data Operating Layer) search system, which “connects otherwise unconnected or unstructured data”.

Along with Aungate’s Automated E-Discovery (EDD) product, users will be able to collect and review nearly any file format in multiple languages for cross-border disputes. They will also be able to analyse information such as telephone calls, voicemail and video recordings.
