The Commerce & Industry (C&I) Group has signed up a group of senior general counsel for an ambitious mentoring scheme in a move designed to reposition the in-house profession as a serious career path.

The scheme, which will see 12 high-profile general counsel mentor 24 junior in-house lawyers, will be launched in the summer by the C&I Group’s London arm and will run for six months.
