Commonhold has been in operation since September 2004 but, to date, only a handful of schemes have been developed using this form of title.
In December, Crest Nicholson announced it would be adopting a commonhold structure for its Oakgrove Millennium Community in Milton Keynes. In doing so, Crest has become the first major house builder to adopt commonhold for one of its schemes.
